Doug was a member for a few years helping the Fire Prevention Bureau with public education events and hanging out at the firehouse. He always had stories about his time at the Cool Springs FD. At the Kroger in Middletown he knew the location of just about everything in the store. When they were resetting the store he used a daily cheat sheet to help customers. It was a pleasure to know him.

A Louisville firefighter drowned in a boating accident while in Tennessee Wednesday morning.

Just got word that one of our finest brother firefighters passed tonight. Godspeed, Dennis Nethery. It was an honor and a joy to work with you. Save us a seat, we'll be lightening in right behind you soon enough. May our brother rest in peace.
