💙 BLESSING BAGS IN WILMINGTON 💙

This week, From the Ashes Inc. had the opportunity to distribute Blessing Bags throughout Wilmington.

With all of the rain we’ve experienced, the need for dry, essential items in our community is especially high. We are incredibly grateful for every donation we receive because your generosity allows us to meet people where they are and provide items they truly need.

Each Blessing Bag included:

Toiletries
Snacks
Water
Socks
Menstrual supplies for women

What may seem like a small bag to some can be a meaningful reminder to someone else that their community cares.

💜 FROM AN EMPTY SPACE TO A HOME 💜

From the Ashes was honored to partner with Face the Facts to help fulfill some of the wishes of a young lady transitioning from sober living into her new home. Sometimes, it’s the basics that make a new space feel comfortable, welcoming, and truly like home. 🏡

We were happy to provide:
❤️ Dish rack
❤️ 16-piece dish set
❤️ Silverware
❤️ Paper towels

Face the Facts is still looking for:

🛏️ Queen-size headboard
🍴 Silverware ✅
🍳 Pots & pans ✅
🪟 Curtains
🛏️ Queen-size sheets
🥛 Glasses / coffee cups ✅
☕ Keurig / coffee maker
🍞 Toaster
🍽️ Dishes ✅
🥣 Colander
🗑️ Small trash can
📏 Curtain rods

✨ Gently used items are absolutely welcome, as long as they are clean and in good condition.

📍 Please note: Face the Facts is unable to pick up donations for this request. All items will need to be dropped off in Pike Creek.

If you have something on the list that you can donate, please message me and we’ll coordinate the drop-off.

It doesn’t take one person providing everything. A bunch of people providing one thing can help turn an empty space into a home. 💜

You've probably seen the neon signs in smoke shops across Delaware and wondered, "What's kratom?" It's an unregulated substance, usually sold in capsule, gummy, extract, drink or powder form as an energy booster, mood enhancer or pain reliever, that can cause a multitude of side effects. Worse, the FDA warns that the use of kratom can lead to physical and psychological dependence and substance use disorder.

In June, Delaware legislators passed a bill prohibiting the sale of kratom to anyone younger than 21, mandating state regulation, and requiring state agencies to report on testing capabilities and potential licensing requirements for retailers. That legislation is awaiting Gov. Matt Meyer's signature.

This Is What Community Looks Like

And just like that, we were able to provide Blessing Bags to Hope in Him for community outreach!

Each bag was filled with toiletries, a pair of socks, snacks, and a drink—simple necessities that can bring comfort and remind someone that they are not alone.

Through a beautiful combined community effort, these Blessing Bags were distributed in Dover to individuals and families displaced by the recent tornado. Hope in Him also provided Life Recovery Bibles, extra food, coffee, and cookies.

This is what partnership looks like.

Today, From the Ashes Inc. had the pleasure of donating drinks and dental kits to our local Community BBQ & Back-to-School Fair!

We are honored to contribute to an event that gives children and families an opportunity to enjoy themselves, connect with their community, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

We are incredibly thankful for every donation we receive. Because of your generosity, we are able to turn those donations into FREE resources and essential items for families in our community.

This is what community is all about—giving, serving, and making a difference together.
