The Middleton Police Benevolent Association is deeply saddened by the passing of one our former police officers, Officer Rob Smith (Smitty) after a hard fought battle with a serious illness.

Smitty dedicated his life and career to helping others. Although Smitty left the Middleton Police in 2021 to take on his next journey as a Boxford police officer, the impact he had on our community and department was everlasting.

Smitty, your professionalism, intelligence, and most importantly, your compassion to help others will never be forgotten. It was an honor and a privilege to serve along side you. Please keep Officer Smiths family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May you rest in eternal peace Smitty, we have the watch from here.💙

Today, the Middleton Police Benevolent Association proudly recognizes and celebrates all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures in our community.

We especially honor the dads who balance the demands of public service with the equally important role of being present, supportive, and loving fathers at home. Your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

From all of us at the Middleton Police Benevolent Association, we wish you a safe, happy, and well-deserved Father’s Day.
