Village staff have recently completed the work to the infield at Nelson Park getting the field ready for the first game of the year. The infield was stripped of extra “lip” material that prevented drainage, and 9 loads of new infield mix was brought in. This extended the infield and should allow for better drainage. All the sprinkler heads have been adjusted, and new foul poles (donated by Legacy Steel) were installed on Monday. Bases will be set this week or early next (rain needs to hold off for a few days).

Continue to stay off the infield while this work is completed!
