Hi folks!
We have had a busy October with lessons! Over 40 regular students and more people who want to get in!

I would like to remind our current and potential clients of some policies around here to help things run smoother.

We require 48 hours notice for cancellations without requiring payment for the missed lesson.

As we navigate a busy lesson and activities schedule, we have 1 off day every week where we put our farrier appointments, hay deliveries, errands to the livestock store, and veterinary visits.

If we know in advance when we have openings from cancellations this gives us the option to fill the spot to provide for the horses’ needs, or to leave the spot empty to schedule an appointment.

For example, Thunder needs to see the vet for some pain, but the soonest we could get him in is in mid November due to our busy schedule.

If folks are respectful of our time and help us plan their absences, horses like Thunder can see the vet sooner and get the treatment he needs!

We absolutely understand when things come up sometimes that you cannot plan for and we try to be accommodating, so please return the favor and give us as much notice as you can if your child (or you) won’t be able to make their scheduled lesson.

Remember, the horses rely on the income from activities for all of their care and expenses. Cancelled lessons resulted in $315 in lost income this week, as well as spots where students on the waiting list could have gotten in!

We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate the colder season and upcoming holidays.

It means a great deal to us to have your respect and support. We couldn’t do what we do without you. Every one of my (Amelia here) students is a valued member of our barn community; lots of planning and dedication goes into everyone’s weekly lessons. As I work hard to educate my students and keep happy and healthy horses, a little communication goes a long way. Thank you for your understanding and support of what we do. We hope to make a difference. 🙏

Hey friends!
We have some extra items from the silent auction fundraiser that didn’t go!

Help us raise some extra funds for upcoming hay and dental expenses by purchasing some of these remaining items!

If you are interested in an item in a set, it can most likely be broken up. Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or offers! Get a great Christmas gift and help the horses at the same time!

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to making our 5th Annual Barn Social Fundraiser a success!

Thank you to Emily Kruenegel and her family for the amazing boards they created showing some of the horses we have taken in and helped over the years. Emily’s mother-in-law, Shirley, also made a bunch of items for sale with our horses’ pictures that were so popular! We can’t thank you all enough!

Thank you to Kim DeMarais Norwood for the gift basket donation (that was a popular item) and the delicious cake pops! That was a wonderful idea and everybody told us how much they loved that. And the horse-theme was so creative! They turned out beautifully.

Thank you to Katelyn Henrikson for being our errand runner for the balloons and KFC chicken and potatoes! 🤤

Thank you to Glenn Payan, Karen Hibdon, BrentandMel Bierma, Laura Stevens, and Michele Olsen, for their donations to our silent auction fundraiser!

Thank you to businesses like PROOF Craft Kitchen and Cocktails for the awesome gift card donation, as well as D&B Supply, Dan’s Donuts and Deli, Silk and Sass Floral, Dutch Bros Coffee, Syringa Cocktails and Coffee, Javier Guajardo with 44 livestock and Pet Supply, Chewy, Made in the Valley, Amy Cirell with Urban Snips, and Jacquelynn Holly with Equine Jeweled Designs.

We are so appreciative of the generous individuals and businesses present in our community. It truly inspires and enables us to continue doing what we do.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the event, bid on items, make purchases, and give donations. We truly appreciate your willingness to give your time and money towards our little organization. I know we all lead pretty busy lives that don’t ever seem to pause or slow down, but it means a lot to us that you’d take time out of your schedule to support our event and maybe learn a bit more about what we do and what it takes.

We love having the opportunity to serve our community, and hopefully, make it a better place for horses by inspiring and teaching those willing to learn more about them. When we started our involvement in horse rescue, we never anticipated the reach or support we have been blessed with. It is by the grace of God we have come this far and we hope to continue reaching our community for many more years to come.

Attention friends! Please read!

⭐️ It is time for the online pre-bidding for the silent auction before the in-person event tomorrow! ⭐️

This is a great way to support our cause if you cannot make the event. We have 10 horses who need upcoming dentals ($168 each), and we are hoping to buy 3-5 more stacks of hay before winter (1k each) when hay prices increase drastically.

If you support what we do and enjoy the activities we offer, please consider bidding on some items and winning some great deals. We cannot stress enough how important your support is to our continued activities.

Enjoy the cool donations and follow the instructions to bid! We are excited to see everyone tomorrow.

If you haven’t been here before and you’d like to attend, please send us a message to confirm the address and introduce yourself, so we can look for you!

Don’t forget to click “going” on the Facebook event to RSVP, and join the thread of what dish you’d like to bring for the potluck so others can see!

Also, bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for sitting in the grass!

We’d like to extend a BIG thank you to Equine Jeweled Designs for the generous donation to our silent auction fundraiser at the 5th Annual Barn Social Fundraiser ! Jacquelynn makes beautiful keepsakes out of horse hair. She has made several pieces for us personally from some beloved horses’ tails who have passed away.
