🚒🍎 Kids can’t thrive on Wi-Fi passwords, energy drinks, and whatever mystery snack is hiding in the bottom of a backpack.
Today, we’re spreading the word about a FREE summer meal program available to children across the area. And here’s the important part: you do not have to live in Lowell to participate. If your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, teammates, classmates, or even that cousin who still owes you $20 could benefit from this program, please share this information far and wide.
For many families, summer means juggling work schedules, childcare, and rising grocery bills. No child should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Food insecurity doesn’t take a summer vacation, and neither does the need for community support.
Every child deserves access to healthy, nutritious meals so they can learn, grow, play, and enjoy their summer. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is make sure people know help is available.
At the Lowell Fire Department, our mission goes beyond responding to emergencies. We’re proud to support programs, resources, and partnerships that strengthen families and improve lives throughout our community and beyond. Protecting our community means helping meet needs before they become crises.
So do us a favor: hit that share button. It takes just a few seconds, costs nothing, and could connect a child with meals they might otherwise miss. That’s a pretty incredible return on investment.
Because strong communities look out for one another. And when kids have the nutrition they need, everyone wins.
