Irishman Niall Harbison, .haribson, who has dedicated his life to rescuing and feeding stray dogs in Thailand, recently shared one of the most touching behaviors he witnesses regularly. Many of the dogs he cares for will bring him small “gifts” whenever he arrives with food offering sticks, leaves, or random objects they’ve found nearby as a way of showing appreciation.

Harbison says these simple gestures reveal the deep emotional intelligence and loyalty of street dogs, many of whom have endured difficult lives yet still form strong connections with the humans who show them kindness and care.
