Emilio is discovering the water through gentle guidance, practice, and new experiences in each lesson. These early moments are helping him become familiar with the water while developing important foundational skills at his own pace.

Every lesson creates an opportunity for learning, growth, and building a positive connection with the water.

Learning to swim opens the door to new experiences.

Through the Your Shores Program at , 26 young adults participated in 16 swim lessons as they prepared to practice snorkeling while building lifelong swimming and water safety skills.

These lessons were made possible thanks to the generous support of (Surfingโ€™s Evolution & Preservation Foundation) and expert instruction from .

Access to swim education has the power to change lives.

That's why we created 100 Kids in 100 Days: Creating Safer Swimmers. Our goal is to provide 100 income qualified children with 25 professional swim lessons, taking place from September 8 through December 17, 2026, to help them build life saving water safety skills and confidence in the water.

Every donation will be 100% matched, doubling your impact and helping even more children in our community gain access to high quality swim education.

Drowning is one of the leading causes of preventable death for children, yet it's something we can all help change.

On World Drowning Prevention Day, we are reminded that creating safer communities doesn't happen through one organization or one person. It happens when parents, instructors, schools, community leaders, nonprofits, and businesses all play a role.

Teaching swim skills. Supervising children around water. Using life jackets when appropriate. Creating access to quality swim education. Sharing what we know with others.

These may seem like small actions, but together they create lasting ripples.

We are grateful to everyone who dedicates their time and passion to helping families become more confident and safer around water. Let's continue working together until every child has the opportunity to learn this life-saving skill.
