True Mirage Theater is proud to announce auditions for the World Premiere of “With the Swallows” by Ricky J. Martinez!
“With the Swallows” was chosen from our 2024 Minority Report Reading Series, which was funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
A grieving widower returns to the woods of Idaho to scatter his wife’s ashes, only to confront his estranged son, a small-town Mayor whose shame runs deeper than their family’s secrets.

*** Actors themselves don’t have to be the age of the character’s range but play the maturity and essence of their age range***
Auditions will take place beginning at 1pm on Saturday, August 23rd. Callbacks will be on Sunday, August 24th, beginning at 10am, if necessary.

Rehearsals will begin September 9th on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings, and earlier Sunday morning/afternoon (Saturday the weekend before tech week)
Performances run September 26th thru October 5th.
Compensation:
$60 per performance ($360)
$440 rehearsal stipend
Totaling $800
