On June 11th 2026 the U.S. Bishops Consecrating the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus



O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus:

You know the longings of our hearts, and you desire that we enjoy friendship with you.

From your pierced side, you have poured out the wellspring of life, for which we thirst.

Your heart burns with a love for all people to return to a right relationship with you.

We celebrate the abundant gifts you have given this nation, founded on the self-evident truths that our Creator has endowed all people with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We make reparation for the offenses against you and against human dignity that have taken place in this nation.

May our hearts be united to yours, so that our families and communities enjoy peace and happiness; may broken relationships be reconciled, injustices repaired, and the wounds of our land be healed.

May your holy Catholic Church serve as a sign, pointing all people to your infinite love.

O Desire of Nations and Center of History, we ask you to bless these United States of America.

Who live and reign with God the Father

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

God, for ever and ever.

Palm Sunday isn’t just a celebration… it’s a confrontation.

It’s the moment Jesus rode into Jerusalem not as a distant Savior, but as a King who demanded a response.

The crowds cried out:
“Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” (John 12:13 NKJV)

They waved palm branches. They praised Him publicly. They honored Him loudly.

But just days later… many of those same voices fell silent.

That’s the tension of Palm Sunday.

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey…” (Zechariah 9:9 NKJV)

Jesus fulfilled prophecy perfectly. He came in humility, not force. He came to save, not to conquer politically. And many missed Him because He didn’t look like what they expected.

Palm Sunday reveals this truth: it’s easy to praise Jesus when He’s doing what we want.
It’s another thing to follow Him when He leads us to the cross.

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” (Psalm 118:22 NKJV)

They wanted a king who would overthrow Rome.
He came to overthrow sin.

They wanted immediate change.
He came for eternal transformation.

And here’s the question for us today:

Are we praising Him for who He is…
or only for what we think He should do?

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Matthew 16:24 NKJV)

Palm Sunday is not just about waving branches.
It’s about surrender.
It’s about recognizing the King… and yielding to Him fully.

“And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, ‘Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.’
But He answered and said to them, ‘I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.’” (Luke 19:39-40 NKJV)

Creation itself recognizes the King.

The question is… will we?

This is the hour to return to our first love.
To move beyond surface praise into real devotion.
To not just shout “Hosanna”… but live surrendered.

Because the same King who rode in on a donkey…
is coming again in glory.

“Hosanna in the highest!” (Matthew 21:9 NKJV)

Let it not just be something we say.
Let it be the posture of our life.
