The Military Affairs Council (MAC) was honored to have some of our elite members out supporting the SOC South Family Day!

​While the youth competition was fierce and we loved handing out medals to the young champions, the real victory of the day was the camaraderie. At its core, this event was all about building teams, strengthening families, and connecting our community.

​Days like this are exactly what the MAC mission is all about: showing up, standing together, and supporting our military families.

​A massive THANK YOU to everyone who participated, volunteered, and made this day so impactful! 🎖️❤️

The Military Affairs Council (MAC) had the absolute honor of giving back to our local heroes at the City of Homestead’s Military Appreciation Day at Losner Park Homestead Florida ! From handing out food vouchers to sharing stories, the energy and gratitude in the air were unforgettable. Big THANKS to our local veterans organizations: John G. Salley American Legion POST 43 and Arrant-Smith Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4127 "The Friendly Post" 🙌✨

But wait—the excitement didn’t stop there! We raffled off a massive 65-inch TV, and the universe knew exactly what it was doing. The lucky winner was none other than from one of our absolute favorite local veteran organizations: VFW Post 4127! 📺🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support, to City of Homestead Government and most importantly, to our incredible service members and veterans at Homestead Air Reserve Base . You are the backbone of our community.

🦅 Honoring the Fallen & Supporting Our Troops:
MAC at the SOCSOUTH Murph Challenge! 🇺🇸

The sun wasn’t even up yet, but the Military Affairs Council (MAC) was already on the ground at Homestead Air Reserve Base! 🌅

At the special invitation of Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), the MAC team came out early yesterday morning to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our service members for the annual Memorial Day Murph Challenge and Memorial Ceremony.

From the grueling physical test of the Murph workout to the solemn, quiet moments of the memorial ceremony, it was a powerful reminder of the true meaning of Memorial Day—and a reflection of our deep-rooted commitment to those who wear the uniform.

The Mission of the Military Affairs Council:
To act as the premier liaison between the local business community and the brave men and women stationed at Homestead Air Reserve Base, fostering strong relationships, advocating for our military families, and actively supporting base operations and quality-of-life initiatives.

Being there at 0-dark-thirty isn't just about showing up; it’s about connection and community. By answering the call from SOCSOUTH, the MAC directly bridges the gap between our local community leaders and our active-duty and reserve personnel.

Supporting grueling traditions like the Murph challenge allows us to understand the dedication of our service members firsthand. Every dollar we raise, every event we host, and every handshake on the base reinforces a critical truth: Homestead Air Reserve Base is not just in our community—it is the heart of our community.

Whenever there is an activity, a ceremony, or a need on base, the MAC is there to ensure our service members know they have the full, unwavering backing of the local community.

April is the Month of the Military Child, and today was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

​The Military Affairs Council was honored to support a truly heart-warming event at the Homestead Air Reserve Base Readiness Center. There is nothing quite like seeing our service members take a moment to sit down and read to our nation’s strongest and most resilient children.

​While we didn’t sponsor the event, we were thrilled to fuel the fun! We made sure there was plenty of pizza and drinks to go around, keeping everyone energized for an afternoon of stories and smiles.

​At the Military Affairs Council, our mission is to bridge the gap between our community and the brave men and women of Homestead Air Reserve Base. Whether it’s through advocacy, community integration, or simply providing a hot meal during a special event, we are dedicated to supporting those who serve and the families who stand beside them.
