Brief description of the type of competitive activity «NORDIC WALKING»
Nordic walking – active walking on hard or rough terrain using two sticks similar in appearance to the ski to repel the ground. Movement is carried out with the help of a special walking technique, similar to the alternating two-step
ski course. The general nature of the load is comparable to the parameters of cyclical sports, as well as the disciplines of itinerant and distance tourism. Mandatory elements of this movement technique are: no flight phase; amplitude arm flyby in the shoulder with a hand-to-hand with a stick to the thigh; full leg straightening in the knee joint at the end of the limb transfer phase; accentuated with a stick to every step in the process of movement.
