My brothers and I were inspired Dr. Valerie Francois Jacques a young medical doctor who opened her clinic from the ground up, in Cap-Haitien, a city located country-side of Haiti. Once a month she would organize the selfless act of providing a free clinic where everyone regardless of their ability to pay is seen and given medical care, free-screenings, and preventive education. ant to help MedPlus to continue in their quest to make a difference and help the desperate conditions afflicting their fellow Haitians. We have witnessed Dr. Francois buying medical supplies here in the US and we have made small contributions ourselves with our allowances. We hope therefore that our new initiative will provide more help and resources to such a great cause. With the knowledge that we are so blessed to live so comfortably and that many Haitians don’t have access to basic necessities, let alone adequate care and medical providers have such limited access to medical supplies, we are determined to help Dr. Francois with such overwhelming task. We hope through our organization to also encourage and help other young doctors, dentists, therapists and professionals to follow Dr. Francois and do the same to help alleviate the pain and sufferings of their fellow countrymen.
