Over the past year, this monthly contest has helped raise over $40,000 for hundreds of rescues nationwide — and your dog could be featured next.

Chucky is officially adopted!!🐾

One thing about our rescue is that we never rush placing our dogs and always make sure they end up exactly where they belong.

And for Chucky… it was absolutely worth the wait.

This lucky boy now has humans who get to spend tons of time with him, daycare days where he can run and play with other dogs, and best of all… a pool he can jump into whenever he wants. 🏊

Congratulations to Chucky and his wonderful new family. We could not be happier for all of you. 💚

Welcome, Cheesy Gordita ( ) to SFBR! ❤️

This sweet beagle made her way to us from Pinellas County Animal Services, the same shelter where we rescued Jack, the senior who recently crossed the rainbow bridge.

Cheesy Gordita has had a very difficult life. She reportedly came from an abusive home and later lost her second home as well. Because of this, she is very shy around strangers at first, but underneath it all is an incredibly sweet girl who slowly begins to trust once she feels safe.

The most beautiful part of her journey to us was watching her demeanor change with every volunteer she met along the way during her 4+ hour transport. Each kind woman who transported her showed her love, patience, and compassion. By the time she reached her final driver, Cheesy Gordita finally curled up in her new bed and fell asleep… a bed the last volunteer let her keep to help her continue to feel safe. 💛

Now all this sweet girl needs is what she has always deserved: stability, patience, and a forever home where she will never have to wonder if she is safe again.

We’ve got a Gretchen pupdate!! 💛

She was recently spayed and also had a mammary tumor removed. The best news is that the tumor was benign!! Thank goodness.

Now, all this sweet girl needs is her forever home. Gretchen is smart, sweet, potty trained, and petite for those looking for a smaller dog. Apply below if you’re interested in meeting her.

Happy National Rescue Dog Day from South Florida Beagle Rescue 🐾

Today we celebrate the dogs who were given a second chance. And, we also send positive vibes to the ones still waiting for theirs.

We have some great news to share for Nefertiti, now known as Andi 🎉

This sweet little puggle first came to our rescue after being surrendered to a veterinary clinic. From there, our rescue stepped in to help her find the loving home she deserved.

Almost two weeks ago, Andi made the 4.5-hour journey to her foster-to-adopt home, and so far, everything is going wonderfully. She made herself at home immediately and has already settled in so well.

Once Andi is spayed, we will be able to make the adoption official, but we are already so happy for everyone involved and excited for this next chapter.

A huge thank you to the volunteers who helped make her journey to her forever home possible. It truly takes a village ❤️
