Another successful South Florida Beagle Rescue Harvest Festival in the books!!! 🎃

Celebrating our 5th year, we got to see so many old friends, meet new ones, and even take our very own hayride with a whole bunch of beagles! It was EPIC. 🐶🚜

We’re so grateful to Flamingo Road Nursery for welcoming us back to their Fall Festival every year. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

❤️ FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR ROMEO II

Romeo II is looking for his person. And right now, he really needs one.

Romeo was recently surrendered when his family could no longer give him the time and care he needed. We offered training support to help them work through some of his challenges, but ultimately, they made the difficult decision that they could no longer care for him.

Romeo is an absolute sweetheart who loves his people. But he is struggling with separation anxiety and does not do well being crated, so his ideal home will be a little different.

We’re looking for a foster or adopter who:
• Does not have other dogs or cats
• Is home most of the time
• Can give Romeo patience, consistency and lots of love
• Is willing to work with him as he learns that he is safe and not being left behind.

You will NOT be doing this alone. ❤️
Our rescue can provide trainer support, and we can even help arrange volunteers or pet sitters for walks when you need a hand. We will be there to support both you and Romeo.

Rescue truly takes a village. And right now, Romeo needs his village to show up for him. 🥺

Today’s Rescue Rockstar Spotlight goes to Amanda! 🌟🐾

Amanda first became part of the SFBR family when she adopted one of our beautiful beagle puppies, but she definitely didn’t stop there! Since then, she has become an incredible part of our rescue team, stepping up for transport after transport and helping get our beagles wherever they need to go, whether it’s important surgery appointments, foster homes or forever homes. 🚗

Rescue takes a village, and we’re so lucky Amanda chose to stick around after adopting and help SFBR become stronger and more impactful. ❤️

🌈 RIP Pinto. We’ll never know what Pinto’s life was like before he came to us as an older stray. He struggled to connect with people, and despite everyone’s best efforts, we worried we’d never find someone who would love our quirky old man exactly as he was.

Then came the most perfect dads. ❤️ On his very first day, Pinto christened their home with p*e AND p**p, and they simply laughed and said, “That’s why we have washable rugs!” 😂 We knew he was home.

Pinto finally learned to trust, made friends with their furry siblings, and experienced the unconditional love he always deserved.

A week ago, Pinto crossed the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by so much love. ❤️‍🩹 We know his old friend Myron was waiting for him on the other side.

Thank you to his wonderful dads for giving him the most beautiful final chapter. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

MOLLY ( ) IS SAFE WITH SFBR! ❤️

Molly’s family, like many others, had previously reached out to us for help, but without an available foster, we couldn’t take her in immediately. When she was unexpectedly surrendered to the shelter, we knew we had to act. Thankfully, our shelter partnership allowed us to pick her up immediately.

Molly is 6-year-old, sweet, cuddly, potty-trained, and great with dogs and children! Our wonderful friends at Town & Country Animal Hospital have already checked her out, and she’s doing great. ❤️

NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🙏

Because we had to act quickly, Molly has no foster home and will be boarding.

We have an adoption announcement… Cassius, now Buford found his furever home! 🥳

And judging by the photo updates we’ve received, we can tell he’s being spoiled rotten 😍This sweet boy hit the jackpot with the BEST parents and is living exactly the kind of life we wish for every one of our dogs.

Enjoy the good life, Buford! You deserve every bit of it.
