June is Men’s Health Month
This month is a reminder to prioritize the health and wellness of men and boys through prevention, early detection, and treatment.
Did you know:
Men in the U.S. live on average 5–6 years less than women, and many are less likely to seek routine medical care or talk openly about their physical or emotional health.
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for men, and men account for nearly 80% of su***de deaths in the United States. These numbers remind us how important it is to check in, speak up, and seek care early.
A few key areas to focus on this month:
✔ Routine wellness exams
✔ Blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar screenings
✔ Prostate and colorectal cancer screenings
✔ Heart health through movement, nutrition, and prevention
✔ Mental health check-ins and open conversations
At Arthur Center Community Health, we believe wellness means caring for the whole person. Our team is here to support physical health, mental health, and overall well-being at every stage of life.
This Men’s Health Month, schedule the checkup, ask the question, have the conversation. Your health matters.
