As a fellow Filipino American, I always get excited when I see members of our community sharing their stories with the world.

My friend Fleur Magbanua has released her new book, Ate Girl Nurse, and it is a beautiful reflection of perseverance, faith, family, sacrifice, and the Filipino spirit that so many of us grew up around.

Whether you are Filipino, work in healthcare, have family who immigrated to build a better life, or simply enjoy stories about resilience and heart, this is a book worth checking out.

Please join me in supporting Fleur and pre-order your copy today:

🚨 TONIGHT - presents: AANHPI Heritage Month in Arizona deserves more than a social media post and a logo change for thirty days. It deserves real connection, real conversations, and real support for the people building businesses and culture across this state every single day.

Tonight the Arizona Asian Chamber is bringing together entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, students, community builders, and good humans from all over the Valley for a night in Downtown Phoenix focused on community, visibility, and opportunity.

No stiff networking event energy.
No awkward name tag convention vibes.

Just people connecting, building relationships, sharing ideas, supporting local business, eating good food, and strengthening the ecosystem around Arizona’s AANHPI community.

Happy freakin Friday.

The sun hit a little warmer today. The coffee tasted rich and thick. The music carried memory as I sang along with my kids to 90s classics. The people around me lately feel inspiring, very real, grounded while looking to the clouds dreaming, smart funny, flawed like me, and oh so alive. I’ve been looking around and realizing that even after chaos, heartbreak, bills, politics, construction dust, endless group texts, campaign madness, and life moving at autobon speed, there are always wonderful and outstanding humans everywhere.

Somehow we all keep finding each other.

A shout out to the entire internet for turning Con La Misma Piedra into the official soundtrack of baddies making emotionally questionable decisions. Every reel feels like somebody smiling through a life lesson they absolutely ignored twice already. Julio out here serenading collective short term judgment with the confidence of a man who has ruined and healed hearts in the same evening.

Today feels simple and light.
Grateful for my kids.
Grateful for movement.
Grateful for fresh air on the soccer field and in the pines.
Grateful for laughter that catches you off guard.
Grateful for the strange and beautiful people currently walking beside me in this chapter of life.

Be good to each other out there and as always… Do It For The Neighborhood!

Celebrate mom Saturday May 9 with a beautiful evening of music, culture, and celebration at our Mother’s Day Mariachi Concert!

On May 9, we’re taking over the Mesa Arts Center for a night dedicated to honoring the incredible mothers in our lives. If last year was any indication… we’re in for another unforgettable celebration filled with joy, laughter, and amazing mariachi music!

Bring your mamá, abuelita, tía, or the special women in your life and let’s celebrate them the way they deserve with music, love, and a whole lot of fun. Don’t miss out this is one of our favorite traditions of the year!
