Arizona Families Fighting Illicit Drugs (AFFID) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and supporting communities impacted by substance use. Through education, advocacy, and compassionate outreach, AFFID works to reduce overdose deaths and connect individuals and families with critical resources.
The organization is currently seeking funding to expand its presence at community events across Arizona. These events play a vital role in reaching individuals at risk, as well as their loved ones, by providing free, life-saving naloxone, harm reduction supplies, and practical information on treatment, recovery, and prevention.
At AFFID booths, volunteers and advocates distribute resources aimed at reducing stigma while promoting safety and awareness. A central part of their mission is also to honor and remember the lives lost to the drug epidemic, creating space for healing, connection, and shared purpose within the community.
By securing financial support, AFFID can continue—and grow—these outreach efforts, ensuring more people have access to tools that can prevent overdose, support recovery, and ultimately save lives.
