Dolly's Dead!
I mean No disrespect by the title, but the reality is that Dolly Parton is dead and she can save NO one! She was a great songwriter and entertainer but as far as I know she never claimed Jesus Christ as her Saviour nor did she stand against ungodly behavior. Entertainers tend to seek attention and approval and in more than one occasion she said this.

The accolades of man can be so great that we often forget the reality and truth of Jesus. We look at people as if they are above Jesus or even mankind when really, they may not even be saved!

Phl 3:3 "For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh."

Jesus is Alive and the one who saves! Jesus is the one who died on the cross and bled for our sins! Jesus is the one who rose again to give life and justify us before God! Jesus is the one who redeemed us and reconciled us to God the Father. Jesus is the one who made us righteous and whole! It's always Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!!!!!!

I may die alone with No accolades of man, but I will always know, proclaim and be with My Lord Jesus Christ!

PURPOSE IN LIFE!
Do you have purpose in life? One thing that is probably asked of me as well as most pastors is "what is God's will for me to do"? "Am I to go on a mission or pastor a church or what"?

The problem lies in none of those things for they all could be good, but the real problem lies in our identity. Who we are gives us meaning and purpose.

If you're a husband and dad your job is to protect and provide. You are the head of the family, so you need to lead. If you are a wife and mother your duties are to nurture and raise your children. These are but a small part of being a spouse and parent but by being called a husband and wife it tells you your meaning and purpose in those areas.

But the husband and wife can also be believers and therefore their meaning is to serve God and others. Husbands should share the gospel and the word on a daily basis. Reading to his wife and kids and teaching and correcting his kids with love and discipline. Mothers will want to help teach her children who Jesus is and what He has done for them; the purpose is to bring them to Christ and to be good members of the Body of Christ.

Both Husband and dad and wife and mother are to love, respect and honor each other always. Teaching their family how to live in harmony and peace.

Who you are gives meaning and purpose, so it doesn't matter what you do for work just share the word of God wherever you are. I have a friend who works for the post office as a janitor and shares the gospel through tracks and word of mouth everywhere he goes. He loves the Lord and is a walking, talking minister of the word. You see he knows who he is and to Whom he belongs too and he know his purpose in life!

You can know that too and begin to share the gospel of grace whenever and to whoever is right in front of you!
Remember You are a child of God who is deeply loved, totally accepted and completely forgiven In Christ!!!!

Rom 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

SHEEP!
When I was little, I used to think that all cats were female and all dogs were male. I guess I heard the word "feline" and thought "female" but boy was I wrong!

In today's lost world we have the same problem with the LGBTQ. There are men who dress and act like women and women who dress and act like males. Their identity is all confused and they don't know who they are. Can you imagine me calling for my dog my yelling "here little kitty, kitty, kitty", of course not!!!

Well, we see the same thing among today's church folks. They keep thinking their sheep, when they're not! Sheep "Baa" and just follow blindly. They need a shepherd to keep them safe and to constantly correct them and feed them, but we are not sheep. We are MEMBERS OF CHRIST!
1Co 12:27 "Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."
1Co 6:15 "Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid."

We are the physical body of Christ on earth today. We are His voice, hands and feet to this lost world. We are His physical mouth which proclaims His word of grace, so more members come to be a part of His body.

You are not a separate entity but a member of Christ actual body. The strength, power and boldness of Christ lives in you. You are not weak but strong in Him. You have His mind and His thinking is in you so share that thought or that song or that verse and bless others just as Christ has blessed you!
