Ursula Marks, The Undie Chest's Board Treasurer, was named a 3rd place global recipient of the 2026 FedEx Founder's Fund Award, the highest volunteer honor at FedEx! 🏆

By day, Ursula works in cybersecurity. In her free time, she's learning sign language to connect with the deaf community, building homes with Habitat for Humanity, cheering on Special Olympics athletes... and helping lead our mission to restore dignity through essential undergarments.

Hello everyone, as we wrap up our August Back to School Undie Drive, we want to say thank you.

This month, we celebrated incredible school heroes who remind us what it means to go above and beyond for students. Teachers, nurses, coaches, advocates, and quiet champions who show up every day with care, compassion, and commitment.

Their stories helped us shine a light on why basic essentials matter.
Because when a student has clean, comfortable underwear, they are not just receiving an item.

They are receiving comfort. Confidence. Dignity. One less thing to worry about as they walk into the classroom.

Thank you for reading, sharing, supporting, and helping us remind students that they are seen and cared for.

And remember, dignity starts with feeling good undie-neath.

Today we are celebrating Joan Shin, a junior high math teacher whose impact often happens quietly and behind the scenes.

Joan’s nomination described her as someone who steps in when students and families need support. Whether it is helping with backpacks, glasses, supplies, medical needs, tutoring before and after school, or showing up at after school events to cheer students on, Joan is there.

What makes her story so special is that she often gives without wanting recognition.

Not every act of care comes with a spotlight. Sometimes the most powerful impact comes from the people who notice a need and do something about it.

Today we are celebrating Christine Wetzel, a school nurse whose care reaches hundreds of students.

Christine’s nomination shared what it looks like to be the only nurse for approximately 900 students. From playground injuries and chronic health needs to hygiene questions, medication, emergencies, and everyday comfort, her role requires constant care, attention, and heart.

And even with all of that responsibility, Christine brings warmth and humor into her nurse’s office, creating a space where students can feel safe and cared for.

That is the kind of care students remember.

Dignity delivered. 💜

After Hurricane Melissa swept across Jamaica, families were left rebuilding from nothing: homes, routines, and even the basics most of us never think twice about. So we got to work.
Alongside our partner The Bra Recyclers and Miya's Foundation, we shipped boxes of brand-new underwear, socks, and bras to communities in Jamaica, with each box carrying around 200 essential items for women and men. Founder Denise Deen, a proud Jamaican native, personally helped deliver these supplies to the families who needed them most.

These photos say what numbers can't: relief looks like a fresh pair of underwear when everything else has been lost. It's a small thing that means everything in the middle of recovery.
Every $50 donated shipped one box of essentials to Jamaica, and because of your support, real boxes reached real families. This is what community-funded, community-delivered impact looks like.

Thank you to everyone who gave. You didn't just donate; you restored a little bit of normal for people rebuilding their lives.
