🚨 Urgent Need: Our Food Pantry Needs Your Help

Our food pantry is critically low on canned fruits and vegetables, and we need our community’s help.🥫❤️

We are urgently asking our community to donate canned corn, peas, tomatoes, green beans, and other canned fruits and vegetables. Every donation, big or small, helps us keep food on the shelves and provide essential support to local families facing food insecurity.

We are PROUD to announce that Grit & Gloves Promotions is partnering with Wesley House Community Center for our upcoming Brawlin’ for a Cause event!

This event is about more than putting on a great night of fights. It’s about using the platform we have to make a real difference in the lives of people who need it most.

💥 A LARGE PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM FIGHTING ’ FOR A CAUSE WILL BE DONATED TO WESLEY HOUSE COMMUNITY CENTER! 💥

Wesley House has been serving people in need in East Mississippi for generations. Their mission is to give people a “hand up” rather than simply a “hand out,” helping individuals and families maintain their dignity and work toward independence.

Their work includes:

❤️ Providing food, clothing, and assistance with essential bills
📚 Offering preschool and adult educational opportunities
🧒 Operating a Child Advocacy Center that supports children and families affected by abuse
🤝 Providing advocacy, counseling, prevention, and support services for people going through extremely difficult situations.

That is a mission we are honored to stand behind.

At Grit & Gloves Promotions, we want our events to be about more than who wins inside the ring. We want to bring people together, support our communities, and help organizations that are already doing the hard work every single day.

Happy Retirement, Ms. Liz Moore!

After 10 years of faithful service, we celebrate an incredible milestone as Ms. Liz Moore begins her well-deserved retirement.

Ms. Elizabeth Moore has served in many areas of Wesley House over her 10 years. For many, Ms. Liz has been the face and voice of Wesley House as she has answered phones and greeted everyone as they enter Wesley House. For others, Ms. Liz has been the Volunteer Coordinator and helped guide them as they volunteered with us. Through it all, Ms. Liz has been a blessing.

You will be greatly missed, but your impact will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything you have done for Wesley House, our staff, and the community we are honored to serve.

Please note that Wesley House Community Center will be closed on Friday, July 17 for Staff Development Day.

This dedicated time allows our team to participate in professional development and training so we can continue providing the highest level of service to the children, families, and community we proudly serve.
