Real reflections from a real MY13 Internship student!

It’s easy to get caught up in telling our teens what they should do, how they should act, and what they should believe. But are we taking the time to show them what those things look like in real life?

Teens learn so much from watching the people around them. The way we live out our faith, handle challenges, treat others, and pursue our purpose speaks louder than we sometimes realize.

And it doesn’t stop with us. Surrounding our teens with Godly men and women who model faith, character, and purpose gives them real-life examples to learn from and look up to.

Sometimes, the best way to teach our teens is to live out what we hope they’ll learn.

Less lecturing, more leading by example.

Mentorship is a key part of the Made4More MY13 Internship Program. Students are paired with professionals who provide guidance, share their career experiences, and help them understand how faith connects to their work. Through these relationships, students gain valuable insight into their chosen fields while learning how to use their gifts and talents to glorify God and serve others through their future careers!

We spend a lot of time asking, “What do you want to do when you grow up?”

But maybe there’s a bigger question worth asking:

“How can I use my work to serve God and others?”

Your future doesn’t have to be figured out all at once. What matters is learning to see your gifts, your work, and your future through the lens of purpose.

Because work is more than a career. It’s an opportunity to love God and serve others.

What if your work is the #1 opportunity to serve God? The job you have, the people you work with and around, and the way you work all give opportunities to reflect Christ and serve Him. Your work is NOT separate from your faith. It is simply one of the places you get to live it out.
