What I know….

As a member of the Board of Education, I have seen firsthand how valuable Representative Jack Fazzino’s support has been for Meriden Public Schools. His efforts to secure critical state education funding helped address budget shortfalls, preserve educational programs, and maintain essential staffing levels, ensuring that our students continued to receive the services and opportunities they need to succeed.

This investment provided much-needed financial stability for our district and demonstrated a strong commitment to the students, families, and educators of Meriden. His advocacy has made a meaningful difference in supporting the quality of education in our community and strengthening opportunities for all students.

Meriden has proven that when resources align with need, students thrive. We urge our state delegation to stand with us and get additional resources to our school systems now, during this budget cycle. This is not just a budget issue. It is an issue of equity, fiscal responsibility, and our shared commitment to every Meriden student’s future!

What an honor to attend the 40th Annual Breakfast honoring MLK and Albert Owen's.

Ms. Rhudean Raye that beautiful lady in Red is a testament to this scholarship breakfast! As the first black African American teacher of Meriden she still serves this community at the age of 99!

She was honored today as it was announced on June 2nd of 2026 her birthday will be her day, as she turns 💯!

Bless to know her, and blessed to have served with her.
