Our History

The MOMS Club® began in 1983 when an at-home mom in California decided she was tired of being alone. She wanted to meet other at-home moms with children to play with her own. When she discovered there were no organizations that met during the day to allow her children to play with other children, she decided to start a brand new organization just for the at-home mother. The chapter this mom started became so successful, that she realized mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club too. Soon, she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world! The MOMS Club® of Mequon was founded in September 2002 by just a few women. Since then our chapter has grown substantially to the point in June 2006, we divided our club into the MOMS Club® of Mequon and the MOMS Club® of Cedarburg. The MOMS Club® of Mequon continued to grow to the point that in June, 2009, we divided again into MOMS Club® of Mequon - East and MOMS Club® of Mequon - West. As we grow it made more sense to be one moms club for our community. In July, 2014 we reunited East and West and became MOMS Club® of Mequon/Thiensville. We continue to grow and add new members every month and we hope you come join us soon.
