Hello Neighbors! When I created this group years ago Facebook had not yet perfected their group settings. This was a public group and anyone could join. It was a group meant to get information out to our members about upcoming events and our monthly newsletter. For some reason other people are joining our group. I'm getting on average 3 new members a day, they can't possibly all be from the neighborhood or friends and family! I have decided I'm going to close this account and create a new private account. I will post here when I have the new group set up. Thank you. ~Amie S

Happy Friday!

You may have noticed trash cans located at the west gate. If you could kindly collect any trash found on the beach during your beach visits this would help immensely in protecting our beach.

Friendly, but sad reminder that we will NOT be holding the annual July 3rd block party this year.

Please remember that the west entrance is the only passable entrance as the east gate is flooded.

As a constant rule, but important to remind everyone around the holidays, if you access MMBC property, it is important that you do not trespass on MHYC and the neighboring west properties. This includes any residential properties as well.

Another friendly reminder, but important to note this time of year is that the MHYC main entrance gate is for MHYC members only. This is NOT a shared entrance to MMBC property. Please only use MMBC's west bridge.

MMBC property is only open sunrise to 11PM daily including holidays.

Beach clean up today! See you there!

Beach cleanup this Saturday, June 13th.

Please bring your gloves, rake, garbage bags, landscaping tools, etc.

Please plan to visit anytime that works for you. We encourage all safety guidelines to be followed.

Gate combinations have changed. If you did not receive the updated code, your payment for 2020 has not been received.

Please also note there were reports of unacceptable behavior on the beach this weekend. Parties must be approved by trustees and no parties can be more than 25 people. Underage drinking is strictly prohibited, fires must follow city code, and beach hours are sunrise to 11pm. Acitivites against club and city rules are unacceptable.

Trustees have had reports of fires being left unattemded on the beach. Members are expected to properly extinguish and water down the ashes from a fire. If you leave a fire you risk foliage, etc. catching fire and hot ashes left behind leave someone at risk of getting burnt. If you must have a fire on the beach you are responsible for properly extinguishing.

Please remember fires must be kept in accordance with Mentor on the Lake City Ordinance 660.8.

If trustees continue to get complaints, rules may have to be adjusted removing the ability to have a fire on the beach. Please be responsible and protect your property and neighbors from harm.
