This Saturday, June 6, 2026, The Mendham Township Environmental Commission and Mendham Borough ECOSST Commission will host a Styrofoam EPS Recycling Day at Mendham Township Public Works, 40 Mount Pleasant Road, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

The following styrofoam items will be accepted:
Foam sheets
Foam coolers
Foam packaging

The following styrofoam items will NOT be accepted:
White foam cups
Colored foam trays
Food service trays
Foam egg cartons
Packaging peanuts

Great advice about removing Garlic mustard from your yard now before it goes to seed.

Do you have this plant with the white flowers on your property? Perhaps along an edge or in an area you seldom use? If you do, it's in bloom right now, so it's easy to identify. It's garlic mustard, a highly invasive European native plant that takes over entire ecosystems in our area.

Of all the invasive plants that plague our parks and other natural areas, garlic mustard is among the easiest to remove because it has a small root system. If you see it, pull it out by the roots. Then bag it and dispose of it as garbage. Do not compost it--like all plants in the mustard family, it goes to seed very quickly, so if you see flowers, there are most likely seeds as well.

Join the Township Committee on Saturday, May 16, at 1 PM, for the Grand Opening ribbon-cutting of The Annex, a new community space! The old police station at 3 Cherry Lane, Brookside, is the new home for Mendham TV, the Mendham Township Historic Preservation Committee, and the Recreation Department. And, the first floor has been transformed into a community space. Come visit the new Annex, and enjoy light refreshments! In the future we hope the outside will be transformed in a native plant garden with pathways, benches, bike rack and a community bulletin board.
