In the most recent update, results from the have been updated. Segment by grade level, disability status, gender, LGBTQ status, and race/ethnicity.

Note that counties not included did not reach minimum response thresholds. But seven of the eleven counties did! See more at newdex.org

More local mental health data has been added to FVDEx.org. Thanks to NEW Mental Health Connection and Project Zero, we now include results from the Mind Your Wellness Survey.

While the survey is not a representative sample of the Tri-County region and cannot be used to make broad claims about the population, it offers a meaningful snapshot of what 655 local adults are feeling and experiencing. Local insights like these can inform programs, funding priorities, and advocacy.

If you care about mental health in our community—or just want to better understand how your neighbors are doing—this data is worth exploring!

When Jeff Washburne began working with the Fox Cities Housing Alliance in February 2026, he set out to answer one question: Could a Community Land Trust model work in the Fox Cities?

The first step was straightforward in theory: analyze trends in household income and home values over the past several years. In practice, that work is anything but simple.

Drawing on experience with similar projects in other communities, Jeff expected to spend hours searching for data from multiple sources... if he could find it at all. Even then, differences in methodology can make it difficult to compare datasets and limit the ability to draw meaningful conclusions.

But this time was different.

Thanks to FVDEx.org, Jeff found the local data he needed all in one place. He quickly downloaded the raw data, ran his own calculations, and evaluated housing affordability with confidence, knowing the data was consistent and reliable.

And when new questions emerged—as they always do—the Fox Valley Data Exchange supported him with connections to additional local data and community organizations that helped provide a deeper understanding of the region.

The result? Less time searching. More time analyzing. Better recommendations. Making Jeff a true

Good data doesn't solve community challenges on its own but it empowers the people working to solve them. That's the dynamic power of making trusted local data accessible.

When Jeff Washburne began working with Build Fox Cities Housing Alliance earlier this year, he set out to answer one question: Could a Community Land Trust model work in the Fox Cities?

The first step of his mission was straightforward in theory: analyze multi-year trends in household income and home values. In practice, that work is anything but simple. He was about to set out on a data expedition worthy of a superhero!

New on vitaldata.fvdex.org... interactive visualizations showing the percentage of local students “passing” state standardized exams in 3rd grade reading and 8th grade math. 📖 ✏️

Explore the site to see how results vary by zip code, economic status, race, gender, and more! By digging in to this new data, we can better understand where gaps are widest and where progress is happening. Scores are up significantly since the 2020-21 school year 🤓

By making these results visible, we can have more informed conversations about how to close gaps and accelerate learning. How are students stacking up on standardized tests in your area?

Too often, our health system measures what is easy to track—not what actually matters to people and communities. is on the leading edge of the shift to a new way of working together. 🤝

A recent National Academy of Medicine discussion paper demonstrates “caring accountability,” where data aren’t just used to report out, but to strengthen relationships, trust, and shared responsibility for outcomes. Because numbers are powerful only when they reflect real goals, lived experiences, and community priorities.

As a data supplier, we work to ensure our community has access to
📉 data solutions that integrate clinical, social, and community information so leaders can see the whole picture, not just their institutional slice
📈 transparent, timely, and actionable data for all community partners, not only for large systems who have the most capacity
