🎓 2026 AAMIA Scholarship Recipient Spotlight

Congratulations to David Jones, a distinguished graduate of Collierville High School and one of the recipients of the 2026 African American Male Image Awards & Scholarship Program (AAMIA) Scholarship!

David has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, earning a 4.3 GPA while completing a rigorous curriculum of Dual Enrollment, Honors, and Advanced Placement courses. He is on track to graduate Magna Cum Laude and is a proud member of both the National Honor Society and National Beta Club.

A leader on and off the court, David serves as a captain of the Collierville High School varsity basketball team, where he has earned recognition as Most Improved Player, Bad Boy Mower Tournament Playmaker, and a Commercial Appeal Player of the Week finalist.

Dedicated to serving others, David is actively involved in My Brother's Keeper and has volunteered with the Hospitality Hub, Neighborhood Christian Center, WREG News Channel 3 Turkey Giveaway, Collierville Hot Air Balloon Festival, Tougaloo Alumni Annual Fundraiser, and the Collierville Basketball Camp, demonstrating a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in his community.

Grounded in his faith and inspired by Matthew 5:16, David plans to pursue a degree in Computer Engineering, using his talents to serve others and make a meaningful difference.

Congratulations to Jaiden W. Woodus, a distinguished graduate of Memphis East High School and one of the recipients of the 2026 African American Male Image Awards & Scholarship Program (AAMIA) Scholarship!

Jaiden has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, earning a 4.25 weighted GPA and a 3.65 unweighted GPA while completing the school's Diesel Mechanic Program. His hard work has earned him recognition on the Principal's List, Honor Roll, and Perfect Attendance.

Passionate about aviation and skilled trades, Jaiden plans to pursue a degree in Aviation, combining technical knowledge with his ambition for a rewarding career.

Beyond the classroom, Jaiden is actively involved in DECA, the National Honor Society, and the East High School Baseball Team, where he has developed leadership, teamwork, and discipline.

Committed to serving others, Jaiden volunteers as a youth leader during Vacation Bible School at Rosemark Church of God in Christ, participates in the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, and has supported students through the Aviation Summer Program at John P. Freeman Optional School.

Congratulations to Kylin Carlock, a distinguished graduate of DeSoto Central High School and one of the recipients of the 2026 African American Male Image Awards & Scholarship Program (AAMIA) Scholarship!

Kylin has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, earning a 4.1 weighted GPA, a 23 ACT score, and recognition as a member of the National Honor Society. He was also honored with the 2025 Top English Award for his outstanding academic achievement.

Passionate about animal science and veterinary medicine, Kylin has excelled in competitive enrichment programs, including Mississippi State University's Veterinary Camp (Vet Step II) and Tuskegee University's MITE II Veterinary and Engineering Camp, gaining valuable hands-on experience while preparing for his future career.

Beyond the classroom, Kylin is an active member of his school's football team and proudly serves as the team mascot. His commitment to service is reflected through volunteer work with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, where he has dedicated his time to making a difference in the lives of others.

As he begins the next chapter of his educational journey, Kylin plans to pursue a degree in Animal Science as he works toward fulfilling his dream of becoming a veterinarian.

🎓2026 AAMIA Scholarship Recipient Spotlight

Congratulations to Ryan Robinson, a distinguished graduate of Middle College High School and one of the recipients of the 2026 African American Male Image Awards & Scholarship Program (AAMIA) Scholarship!

Ryan has demonstrated exceptional dedication to academic achievement, earning a 4.48 weighted GPA, completing more than 20 college credit hours, ranking 9th in his graduating class, and receiving Principal's List and Honor Roll recognition throughout high school.

A proven leader both on and off the field, Ryan served as captain of his football team, earned All-Region honors, and set multiple school records. His accomplishments have been recognized through local newspapers, television appearances, and Memphis-Shelby County Schools publications. He also served as the Sports Representative for his school's Student Government.

Committed to serving others, Ryan is the Vice President of a youth mentorship program dedicated to integrity, brotherhood, leadership, and community service. He is also an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), where his faith continues to guide his leadership and character.

Parker has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, earning a 4.553 weighted GPA, a 4.00 unweighted GPA, and an impressive 31 ACT score. His dedication has earned him recognition on the Principal's List throughout his academic career and as an MSCS ACT 25+ Honoree.

A servant leader, Parker has made a positive impact through organizations including Bridge Builders, National Honor Society, Project S.T.A.N.D., and EMBODI. He also gives back to the community by volunteering with the Children's Museum, the Mid-South Food Bank, and during St. Jude Marathon Weekend.

As he begins the next chapter of his journey, Parker plans to attend college and pursue studies in Audio Production and Computer Science, combining his creativity and technical talents to make a lasting impact.
