Here at The Big We, we are building resources and infrastructure for the cultural economy. We do this through storytelling, creative placemaking, and social entrepreneurship. Here’s how👇🏽
💒We’re rebuilding Memphis’ certified National Treasure, Historic Clayborn Temple, after the 2025 arson, rebuilding and reimagining The Temple as the center of Memphis culture, opportunity, and community.
💰Our entrepreneurship programs are booming! COIN (Co-op Opportunity for Inclusive Neighborhoods) is helping Memphians reimagine community ownership and build co-ops of their own. SheLectricity is helping middle-school girls find their entrepreneurial spark and fund their ideas.
🎤Through Memphis Culture Coalition, we’re building the case for a real cultural plan, so Memphis finally invests in its own culture in a way that feeds right back into the community that is actively building it.
A gift on August 28th helps fund all three: rebuilding Clayborn Temple, growing homegrown Memphis businesses, and securing culture’s place in our city's future planning.
