Muslims In Memphis Muslims in Memphis, inc. (MM) was founded in 2003. Its purpose is to built Bridges and share heritage

Its purpose is to hold faith based and cultural events in March of every year. March has been recognized as Muslim Month by both the office of Multi-cultural and Religious affairs for the Mayor of Memphis and the Mayer of Shelby County. The Muslims in Memphis aspires to present Islam to the Memphis community in a positive and informative light. We hope to erect exhibits, provide speakers, and interact with the larger community of which we are an integral part. The Muslims in Memphis aims to engage in an outreach program to the larger community of Memphis & the Mid-south, in order to educate/inform them and dispel myths about Islam and Muslims that have permeated this society for far too long. We aim to do so for such purposes as peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding and
mutual respect.
