Earlier this month, our TOTAL Youth class embarked on an exciting journey to discover the amazing services at The Tipton County Health Department. They found out firsthand that the health department is a friendly, supportive place offering a wide array of services, from dental care and immunizations to many other health resources.

Following their visit, we enjoyed a fun and delicious lunch at the brand new Applebee's IHOP in Covington, adding to the day’s enjoyment.

Our adventure didn't stop there! At Brighton High School, we wrapped up the day exploring their dynamic CTE programs, featuring courses in STEM, Cybersecurity, and more, sparking curiosity and interest.

It was a day filled with fun, discovery, and new experiences.

Yesterday, our TOTAL Youth students embarked on an exciting educational adventure, touring Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest- Covington
and Dyersburg State Community College Jimmy Naifeh Center. The day was packed with inspiring insights into the diverse programs available locally—from hands-on medical training to administrative skills and cutting-edge digital agronomy. Showcasing our vibrant local higher education options was truly a highlight, fueling enthusiasm and curiosity for future opportunities.

Today, our TOTAL Youth students participated in an exciting Public Safety Day, filled with real-life scenarios and hands-on experiences designed to inspire them about possible future careers in public safety. It was an eye-opening journey into the vital roles played by our community heroes.

A huge thank you to the Atoka Police Department - TN, Covington, TN Fire Department, Baptist Ambulance, Hospital Wing, and Sheriff Shannon Beasley and his team of the Tipton County Sheriff’s Department for welcoming us, sharing their time, and offering a behind-the-scenes look at a day in their extraordinary jobs. Your dedication to keeping our community safe is genuinely appreciated!

Our TOTAL Youth Leadership students spent the day at the Tipton County Museum for an awesome team-building adventure led by Molly Glass, our amazing Covington Parks & Recreation Director, and her incredible team! 🌳

From creative challenges to laughter-filled activities, the day was all about leadership, communication, and connection — and this group showed up ready to grow together! 🙌

A huge thank you to Katherine Markley, the Tipton County Museum Director, and her wonderful crew for welcoming us and allowing us to use their beautiful facility! 💙
