The program commenced in 1998 and was later developed for youth with the same concept. The Benefit of Participating: TOTAL provides a better understanding of the community. Participants will become motivated to discover their own leadership traits and become better informed, committed and qualified individuals who can contribute unique knowledge and skills to Tipton County. Objectives: To identify, train and nurture potential leaders who might otherwise not be recognized; to further enhance and develop communication, decision making skills, and varying approaches to leadership; to encourage initiative and creativity; to have an increased awareness of community needs, opportunities, problems and resources; to become responsible, ethical leaders committed to active community involvement.

Thank you to Covington FUMC for allowing us to use your wonderful facility, Midsouth BBQ for providing our delicious dinner, and our very own Director of Membership Engagement & Events, Emily Byrum for providing cupcakes for dessert. 🧁

Earlier this month, our TOTAL Youth class embarked on an exciting journey to discover the amazing services at The Tipton County Health Department. They found out firsthand that the health department is a friendly, supportive place offering a wide array of services, from dental care and immunizations to many other health resources.

Following their visit, we enjoyed a fun and delicious lunch at the brand new Applebee's IHOP in Covington, adding to the day’s enjoyment.

Our adventure didn't stop there! At Brighton High School, we wrapped up the day exploring their dynamic CTE programs, featuring courses in STEM, Cybersecurity, and more, sparking curiosity and interest.

It was a day filled with fun, discovery, and new experiences.
