I'd like to introduce you to three heroes in the city of Memphis who haven't been paid in almost 2 months. Dr. Kitty Lawson (to my right) and her staff, Reginald and Brenda, lead an organization that advocates for victims of violent crime, Victims To Victory. There's no way I could begin to describe all they do to bring healing to the broken-hearted of our city. They literally live in people's sorrows. But like so many organizations that do the really hard, unattractive work, they are severely underfunded. Victims To Victory is literally 60-days from ceasing to exist as an organization barring a miracle. This would be tragic.

I'm betting that there are many of you out there, regardless of where you live, who will join me in advocating for this jewel of Memphis. They need $5000 in the next three weeks and just over $30,000 by June. Would you consider making a generous donation today? Maybe even becoming a regular donor?

Lots of people complain about violent crime in Memphis. But these people are doing something about it.
