We are just making people's day all over the place. I have Bob with me and he's being adorable and every time we stop at a red light on Germantown Road we have people taking pictures and having their kids look and everything else.

Y'all. Stop with the ducks. Just STOP BUYING DUCKS YOU DON'T WANT OR NEED. Learn to tell your children NO. Tractor Supply Co. Stop selling ducks to minors! Teenagers don't need to be buying ducks!! What is Metzer Farm doing to help rescues now that they have a brand new Memphis-area facility? I'm not hard to find but I can tell you nobody has reached out to offer me any assistance. This has been one of the worst years ever for dumped ducks. We are 100% out of space and more just keep showing up. We need fosters, we need volunteers, and we need the source of this problem to step up and do something. 👀🫵

🦆 Can bond deeply with caretakers
🦆 Unlike other ducks, they can fly and perch!

So given the above, be sure to keep them in a safe area or consider clipping their wings (painless when done correctly) to prevent them from leaving a safe area.

They must be fed daily (waterfowl pellets and safe treats like mealworms and lettuce) and put up in predator-proof housing at night.
