Tragic events this past weekend in Columbus. Our sister league is helping raise money to support the victim who lost their spouse.

ANNOUNCEMENT RE: Our event this Saturday

At its heart, the Gay Softball World Series is a platform to come together in common purpose and lift up LGBTQIA+ communities. In keeping with that commitment, GSWS Columbus 2026 will donate a portion of proceeds from our fundraising event Saturday, May 30, to benefit Brent Rayburn-Velco’s recovery fund. As many now know, Brent lost his husband, Mark, in a heinous attack this past weekend, and Brent himself is facing a long, difficult road to recovery.

Columbus rallies around our own. It’s who we are. So if you can, please join us this Saturday, May 30, at District West as we give back, celebrate incredible artists, and showcase what Columbus is all about.

Anyone looking to play tournament ball Friday May 29th and Saturday May 30th?

This tournament is an "overnight tournament" so less worries about the heat! The games start Friday night at 9pm and last scheduled Friday game is 4:30am on Saturday morning. The Saturday night games begin at 7pm with the championship game scheduled for 2am on Sunday, and "if game" scheduled for 3am.

Every team gets 1 glow-game, with glow in the dark jerseys and balls. Stinger will be using a few bat companies who provide all bats for all players to swing. You CANNOT swing your own bat, but a great opportunity to swing other bats and see what you like. If you are a pitcher, Stinger requires all pitchers to wear a face mask while pitching.

This is a "draft style" tournament organized by Stinger Sports. The tournament will be held at USA Stadium in Millington. Currently, the teams are drafted and the add-in player fee is $200 (includes hat, 2 jerseys and batting gloves).

The draft tournament is a great way to meet new people without the stress of "will my team have enough players". Currently, Stinger is offering a $25 discount for add-in players making the total only $175.
