a Scripture-guided time of prayer and reflection that creates space to listen, respond, and rest in God’s presence.

What Are You Carrying?

Some burdens become so familiar that we forget how heavy they are.

We carry concerns for the people we love, decisions we cannot resolve, responsibilities, grief, fear and circumstances beyond our control. But Jesus never asked us to carry these things alone.

He invites us:

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
—Matthew 11:28

Take ten quiet minutes today for The Backpack: Giving your burdens to Jesus.

God is often found in the quiet moments we’re tempted to rush past.

Anchor for the Heart exists to create sacred spaces where people can slow down, notice God, and be transformed by His presence.

Slow down. Notice God. ⚓

Come to Me… So many people are carrying burdens they were never meant to carry alone.

The weight of grief.
The pressure to keep going.
Questions without answers.
Weariness that sleep can’t seem to fix.

Jesus doesn’t begin with a list of things we need to do. He begins with an invitation:

“Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

At Anchor for the Heart, we create sacred spaces where you can slow down, listen for God’s voice, and experience His restoring presence.

Whether you’re walking through a difficult season, longing for a deeper relationship with Christ, or simply feeling spiritually weary, you don’t have to walk alone.

We offer:
⚓ One-on-One Spiritual Direction
⚓ Guided Retreats
⚓ Soul Care Experiences
⚓ Formational Prayer
⚓ Healing Care Groups
⚓ Missionary & Ministry Leader Care

Sometimes the most courageous step isn’t trying harder—it’s accepting Christ’s invitation to rest in Him.

If you’d like to learn more or schedule a conversation, we’d be honored to walk alongside you.

This morning, as Tom and I were enjoying our coffee, he noticed something almost invisible on our screened porch.

At first glance, this little moth seemed ordinary, blending almost perfectly into the screen with its beautifully camouflaged wings. But tucked beneath those quiet gray wings were unexpected flashes of pink and black—beauty hidden until just the right moment.

It reminded me that God often does the same in our lives.

We may feel unnoticed, ordinary, or hidden in a difficult season, but our Creator sees the beauty He has placed within us. In His perfect timing, He reveals His masterpiece.

“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

May we slow down enough to notice the quiet wonders God places in our path—and remember that He is still revealing His beauty in us, too.

If you’re longing to grow deeper in your relationship with Christ through prayer, reflection, and spiritual formation, we’d love to walk alongside you.
