There are moments in life when our hearts feel overwhelmed, untethered, or quietly searching for deeper intimacy with God in the middle of it all.
That’s why Anchor for the Heart Ministries exists.
We are creating a sacred space in Bartlett, TN where people can slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with God, through formational prayer, spiritual direction, as well as guided prayer prompts used with time spent in nature. From a heart-shaped prayer garden and walking trails, to sitting areas nestled in garden spaces, this ministry is being built to offer rest for weary souls and guidance for those longing to grow closer to Him.
In addition to personal one-on-one time, we offer small group settings, half day events, and retreats.
But we can’t do this alone.
We are inviting you to become a monthly supporter, someone who helps anchor this ministry so others can find hope, healing, and direction.
Your monthly gift, no matter the size:
• Helps maintain the prayer garden and sacred spaces
• Supports spiritual direction opportunities for those in need
• Sustains a place where people can encounter God in a meaningful, personal way
This isn’t just giving—it’s sowing into lives, into healing, into eternity.
Would you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly partner with us?

A Christmas Message from my heart to yours today. 💕🎄💕

I Don’t know if anyone out there is like me right now… out of my routine and “too busy” to spend any real amount of time with my Father. Funny how I get sad when my kids don’t have any time to spend with me, especially at the Holidays, and here I was doing the same thing to my Heavenly Father.

Today I didn’t hear him speak to my heart in a still soft whisper… I got it loud and clear. Which I suppose is exactly what I needed. I might not have heard Him if he had spoken to me in a still small voice, like I would have 6 weeks ago. It started by my asking Him a question. I asked God why I was feeling down when so much good was happening all around me?! Beautiful reunions with family and sweet friends which were all so much fun. Shopping and cooking and baking and eating!! I’ve been eating so much I had to hit the gym this week to balance it all out.
His answer came slowly over the course of the day. But it came, as I said before, LOUD AND CLEAR.
He lead me to a post on FB by Louie Giglio. Louie was teaching about how we keep the enemy from sitting our table by taking our seat at the Lord’s table. It’s so true. Even this past week I was reflecting on how Jesus was born in a Manager and placed in feeding trough and how it was a physical picture of a spiritual reality. Jesus was born and came to this earth to feed us spiritually!

John 6:51
I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” He was born and died for my salvation from sin so I could be with Him forever. We were created for relationship with our Heavenly Father.
I thought about how I had allowed days to turn into weeks and I had not been taking my place at my Father’s table during the business of Christmas.
I’d been starving my spirit and the Joy of the Lord wasn’t filling my heart.

I continued to do more grocery shopping after leaving the gym and came home to do laundry and start cooking a dish for another upcoming party this week when
the UPS woman came to my door and handed me some books. I’ve ordered these for our Winter Study in January. I opened the book and it fell open to a quote that was typed out and alone in the center of the page. It read:
“You do not receive the Holy Spirit by praying: you receive the Holy Spirit by drinking.”
It was at that moment God showed me that I was also very thirsty! I know full well the importance of staying hydrated! Especially when you are in the mountains. Tom and I love hiking the mountains in Colorado and we know full well if you don’t drink water you will get terribly sick. I thought to myself… I have been on a “spiritual mountain top” the last six weeks and all of sudden I just quit “drinking my water”!!! God showed me my spirit was starving and seriously dehydrated. I clearly know what my problem is and how to feel better now!

I want to encourage you, my friends, to come and go with me! Let’s go to our Fathers table every day during the rest of the Holiday season! Let’s not settle for fast food and let’s be sure to drink plenty of water! We must learn to linger at the laver, get clean and allow our Heavenly Father to fill us up with all that He is!!
LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS and SELF CONTROL!
Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus was born all those years ago!! He came to save us so we can fellowship with our Heavenly Father. There isn’t a better way to celebrate Christmas than at His table!!
I’m starving… let’s go now!
