MYA is so happy to have y’all be a part of our community!💙 MHEA Cross Country has such a special dynamic. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

With all of the athletes being homeschooled, it’s become something more than just a place to run—it’s a place where kids can build friendships. Athletes come from all over the Memphis area, with some families driving up to 50 minutes just to make it to practice. That’s some serious dedication! 👏🏼

October 2nd is the 2k and 5k Trail Race open to EVERYONE! 1st place finishers win a pair of Hokas, 2nd place will receive a Fleet Feet gift card, and more prizes will be awarded for other top finishes🏆. October 3rd is the High School races.

TEAM 901 IS BACK THIS FALL!

We know there is still plenty of school cross country season left, but we wanted to get the word out early — Team 901 will be back this fall!

Once the school season wraps up, runners from across the Memphis area will come together to continue training, racing, and representing the 901. Team 901 is open to 3rd through 8th grade runners, with training beginning in October.

Our season will take us back to Louisville, Kentucky, on November 14 for the Middle School National Championships! Elementary races too!

Runners will have opportunities to compete in the 2K, 3K, or 4K, with race assignments based on grade level, ability, and times.

If your runner loves XC and isn't quite ready for the season to end, come join us and keep it going with Team 901!

Why do we start racing this early in Tennessee and do we have to? Some coaches are starting to rethink the cross country calendar.

As this year’s Gatorade Tennessee Girls Track & Field Player of the Year, Claire Wetick had the opportunity to award a $1,000 Gatorade Community Grant to a social impact organization of her choice—and she chose Memphis Youth Athletics! 💙

We’re so grateful to Claire and Gatorade for supporting MYA and helping us continue to Create Healthy Habits With Every Run, Jump, & Throw for the next generation of athletes across the Memphis community.

Due to the heat conditions forecasted for this week and our concern for the safety of our athletes, coaches, families, and spectators, we have decided to postpone Monday’s Elementary School meet and Tuesday’s Middle School meet.
📅 RESCHEDULED MEETS
🏃‍♂️ Elementary School — Monday, October 5
• Boys — 5:10 PM
• Girls — 5:30 PM
🏃‍♀️ Middle School — Tuesday, October 6
• Boys — 5:10 PM
• Girls — 5:40 PM

HIGH SCHOOL FAMILIES:
We are continuing to monitor the forecast and conditions for Wednesday evening’s High School meet. We will make an official announcement by Wednesday at 12:00 PM.
