Thank you Gov. Lee for Partnering with Tennessee Boys & Girls Clubs!
Please help us thank Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee for the opportunity for Boys & Girls Clubs to partner with the Department of Human Services to serve the children of essential service providers during the pandemic.
COVID-19 has had a devastating, layered impact on Tennessee youth, their families and communities. Boys & Girls Clubs across the state stepped up to meet growing needs including the lack of childcare options for essential services personnel when schools and childcare facilities closed.
Thus far, 4,259 children and youth of essential service workers between the ages of 5-12 have benefitted by having a safe place to go that provided academic enrichment, exercise, meals, mentorship, among other activities. 78 of the state’s 102 Club sites have participated at some level. Many of the children and youth covered under the program have been served every single week since the beginning of the partnership.
This partnership was thanks to your ongoing advocacy efforts. Please take a moment to fill out the form to the right and help us thank our Gov. Lee!
