Our 2025 "No Child Left Without A Present On Christmas Day" Give-Away has kicked off, and we are calling on individuals, families, churches, businesses, clubs, sororities, fraternities and organizations, to help us bring smiles to less fortunate children and youth on Christmas Day, by adopting a child or a family. If you are interested in adopting a child or a family, send an email to Barbara Nesbit our executive director, at [email protected].

If you would like to help but are unable to “adopt” a child or family, we are in need of new, unopened toys, basketballs, footballs, dolls, bikes, games, etc. for children and gift cards in any amount for teens. Items can be dropped off at our center Monday through Fridays from 12pm to 6pm and on Saturdays from 12pm to 5pm at 670 Vance Ave, Memphis Tennessee 38126, starting November 1- December 15th.

We are so grateful to the Orpheum Theatre Group for hosting their Theatre and Storytelling Workshops at our facility. These workshops have given our youth something positive to do and experience during fall break. We truly count it an honor for our facility to have been chosen to host this purposeful community effort. This arts engagement opportunity is free and open to all ages during fall break, October 13th -17th from 1pm to 3pm. No experience needed, parents hope to see your youth at the center this week.

We would like to thank Ms. Allison Muhammad for hosting a donation drive for our youth development center's community project called VAYDC Cares Every Day. Through our VAYDC Cares Everyday Project, we offer year-round programs and services designed to support the unique needs of children and youth ages 4 to 18 years old, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Because of selfless acts of giving, love and service from the community we have been able to offer our programs and services to vulnerable youth and families in the Memphis and surrounding areas for over 35 years.

We are calling on the support of individuals, churches and businesses in the community to partner with us for our community Easter Egg Hunt by donating:

*Colorful plastic eggs filled with individually wrapped candy.
*Gold plastic eggs filled with a $1.00 bill inserted in them.
*Prizes and raffle items to giveaway during event.
*Snacks and beverages.

Nothing matters more to a senior in high school than being able to participate in their senior activities, especially their prom. Because of caring organizations like Allure Bridals, this year, our organization will be able to help at least 50 high school girls with a prom dress. We are aware that studies show that the average cost of prom related expenses is over $900 per student in the U.S. and out of those prom expenses a prom dress alone can cost an average of $100.00 and up, and unfortunately the majority of our parents are not financially able to make prom a dream come true for their high schooler, so Allure Bridals know that your donation allows us to help teens in need during one of the most exciting times of their high school life. We truly appreciate you!!!
