During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this milestone feels especially meaningful to us.

After months of research, design, and community conversations, we’re excited to share that ACUVA’s AI-enabled dementia companion app, MemGlow, has officially entered beta testing.

MemGlow was created with a simple but deeply important mission: helping seniors living with dementia stay connected through familiar language, memories, routines, and family relationships.

For many immigrant and AAPI families, dementia care is not just a medical challenge — it’s also a cultural and language challenge. As memory declines, many seniors naturally return to their native language and cultural comfort zones. Yet most technology solutions today are not designed with that reality in mind.

MemGlow is being built to bridge that gap by providing:
• AI-powered companionship and conversation
• Native language support
• Memory prompts and emotional connection
• Family engagement tools
• A culturally sensitive dementia care experience

This beta launch represents the hard work of volunteers, advisors, caregivers, and supporters who believe AI can be used to strengthen human connection — not replace it.

We still have much to learn and improve, but we are grateful to take this next step during a month that celebrates the strength and contributions of Asian communities across America.
