We met some phenomenal leaders from across the state helping to guide & address how the public health sector shows up to work on the climate challenges we face currently & in our soon to be future. Connection is Key to Longevity 💚💙
May is Mental Health awareness month. One of the key pillars of our organization is mental health wellbeing through healthy,
joy filled activations that are free & inclusive. Research shows that loneliness & social isolation increases the risk of mental & physical illnesses but there are many solutions that our community - & individuals- can do to support one another. From volunteering, joining fitness groups to learning a new hobby, there is a space where someone is waiting to connect with you.

Thank you to our friends at Wooddale High School for their continued partnership in helping us support the wellbeing of their students for another year. This year we’ve donate over 360 menstrual products & other care items! Thanks to Wooddale High School Principal Ms. Robinson, Family Engagement Specialist, Ms. Dillon & Alumna Charity Curry. We can’t forget our amazing volunteers packaged all the health kits as well 💚💙.

On this last Tip Tuesday of Earth Month we’re giving a shout out to our Earth for supplying us with such a valuable resource - water! As the season changes, hydration is evermore important as hot or humid weather can make you sweat more & put you at risk for heat exhaustion. So show your cells,organ, muscles - & even your bones some love by grabbing a glass or 2 of water today!

Is your scrolling costing you your peace?
Studies show that 3+ hours of daily social media can fuel anxiety, ruin sleep, and leave you feeling “alone in a crowd.” It’s a dopamine loop designed to keep you scrolling, but the toll is real, from brain fog to physical stress.

TIP: You don’t have to quit cold turkey. Monitor your usage, set personal limits, and distract yourself from the distraction. Prioritize your mental wellbeing over your feed. 💚💙

Stress breaks are important for our long term brain and physical health. So how long should we break during the day? Well, research shows that taking purposeful breaks (think 5–60 minutes) to relax and refocus the brain and the body (Cornell University). Note: Being on this app is not considered purposeful breaking 🫠 Try listening to music, taking a walk, meditating, a dance break, calling a friend/family member, or getting creative. Give yourself the space and time to reset and renew yourself back to the best version of you. 💛💚
