Words can't express how proud we are of the newest S.O. What! Ambassadors.

They entered a completely unfamiliar environment where they were the only students not from California, the only ones not together from a school, and were five of only a few black students.

They spoke up, volunteered, shared their ideas, and made their positive presence known. Memphis should be extremely proud of these students and how they represented our city, dispelling amazingsome negative perceptions of Memphis and our youth.

I couldn't be happier!

Thank you, Norm Hull for creating such a beautiful experience with C.O.R.E. Camp starting 35 years ago. And thank you for allowing our S.O. What! Ambassadors to have this amazing exposure and leadership development opportunity that was so full of life-long lessons.

And we're off!

The S.O. What! Ambassadors are headed to C.O.R.E. Camp in Santa Barbara, California!

They'll spend the next few days learning leadership skills, making new friends, and having some amazing new experiences.

See you later, Santa Barbara!

The S.O. What! Ambassadors showed up and showed out at C.O.R.E. Camp. The leadership skills they learned and displayed from getting to know each other as well as engaging with over 300 students from California will take them so far in life.
