📊 Impact Statement – Apple Jacks
Healthy Kids Challenge

The Healthy Kids Challenge will create measurable, statewide impact by improving nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness for Mississippi’s youth. This initiative will serve children in both rural and urban communities, with a focus on areas facing high food insecurity and limited health resources.

Over the next 12 months, we will:
• Reach 5,000+ children through in-person workshops and Mobile Hub visits
• Provide 10,000+ healthy snacks and nutrition education cards
• Increase nutrition knowledge by at least 40% based on pre- and post-program assessments
• Improve physical activity engagement by offering accessible, no-cost fitness experiences
• Equip 1,500 families with meal guides, grocery lists, and wellness resources
• Partner with Mississippi schools, youth organizations, and community centers to ensure sustainable long-term impact

This program will reduce childhood health disparities, strengthen family wellness habits, and build a healthier future for Mississippi’s next generation.

Hello Mississippi, Apple Jacks, The Healthy Initiative, has partnered with Target to give away a $200 Target Gift Card to one child or family. All you need to do to enter for a chance to win this gift card is submit a video of your child doing jumping jacks, or eating an apple or both as many times as you like, as long as you hashtag ( Jacks Mississippi Healthy Initiative), and your child's video will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win $200 to spend at Target. Your child must be 17 years old or under 17 years old, and can eat apples. The winner will be chosen randomly so be sure to post as many times as you can. The objective is to get kids eating more apples and exercising. There is no certain number of video uploads. Each video will have a number and title assigned to it. Only one video number will be chosen during the drawing. The drawing will be held on TONIGHT. @ 4pm. Come on....Get your child up and active to win this $200 gift card.
