To all the teams, clubs, coaches, players, parents, and fans—THANK YOU for being part of the first-ever Play for Joanie Memorial Tournament! Your energy, sportsmanship, and passion for the game made this event truly special.

This tournament was more than just volleyball; it was a celebration of Joanie’s legacy, love for the sport, and the community she helped build. Seeing everyone come together to compete, support one another, and honor her memory was nothing short of inspiring.

A huge shoutout to the volunteers, officials, and organizers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. Your dedication made all the difference!

We can’t wait to see you again next year as we continue to honor Joanie’s spirit through the game she loved. Until then, keep playing, keep growing, and keep inspiring!

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the 1st Play for Joanie Memorial tournament and it would mean so much to us to have you and your teams compete in this inaugural event.  

The Play for Joanie Memorial tournament will feature both club and open divisions.  Team entry fees are $325.00 for 10u-12u and $425.00 for teams 13u -18u.  You can register for this event on AES: https://www.advancedeventsystems.com/35262

Just over a year ago, our Delta Region lost an integral part of our volleyball family after the passing of Joanie Williams following a 2.5 year battle with cancer.  We can not think of a better way to honor Joanie's memory and contributions to the volleyball community than with a tournament held in her honor to continue her legacy and provide extended resources and opportunities to players within the Delta Region.

Proceeds from the event will go toward bringing back the highly missed Delta Region High Performance camp along with a need based scholarship fund for players in the Delta Region slated to begin in the 2024-2025 club season. We hope to see you at this event for an amazing weekend of volleyball that will help continue to build and benefit the players in the Delta Region.

Fisher Leader in Volleyball Award at the annual National USA Volleyball meetings in Dallas this May! Your Southern Elite family wishes you congratulations and is thankful for your leadership on and off the court for our club and Delta Region Volleyball!
