On Monday, May 4th, the Lindenhurst Robotics Coalition was proud to co-host our Annual Autism/Robotics Golf Outing at Harbor Links in Port Washington alongside the Autism Coalition of Long Island!

This event is one of our favorite days of the year because it brings together two causes that are close to our hearts: supporting STEM education through FRC Team 533, the Lindenhurst Psicotics, and supporting the Autism Coalition of Long Island.

None of this is possible without the generosity of our sponsors, players, volunteers, and supporters who show up year after year. Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday and to our incredible volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly. Your support makes a real difference for the students and families we serve.

We are already looking forward to next year!

Thank you to Assemblyman Kwani B. O'Pharrow for stopping by our pit at the NY Tech Valley Regional this week in Albany!

Having our assemblyman show up to cheer us on means the world to our team. It is a reminder that the work we do in that build room does not go unnoticed, and that our community is behind us every step of the way. Thank you, Assemblyman O'Pharrow.

We are proud to represent Lindenhurst!

This is what 6 weeks of build season looks like in action.

Team 533, the Lindenhurst Psicotics is competing this week at the NY Tech Valley Regional in Albany, NY. The clip below is autonomous mode, 15 seconds where the robot operates entirely on its own, guided by programming built from the ground up by high school students from Lindenhurst Union Free Schools.

(Sped up so you can catch all the action, and keep an eye on the human player launching fuel into the goal!)

The Lindenhurst Robotics Coalition is proud to cheer them on from the stands and beyond.

A huge thank you to Hunter and Thief for donating dinner to FRC Team 533, The PSIcotics, last night. Twenty students fueled up on a generous meal as they kicked off a long meeting at the lab, continuing preparations for the NY Tech Valley Regional this week in Albany.

Community support like this goes beyond the meal itself. It shows our students that local businesses believe in what they're building, both on and off the competition floor.

The Lindenhurst Robotics Coalition is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports Team 533 year-round. If your business would like to get involved through a meal donation, sponsorship, or in-kind support, reach out to us at [email protected] or visit Team533.com.

Massive shoutout to Hunter and Thief for feeding us last night!! Nothing hits better than a real meal to start a long meeting in the lab. We're locked in and getting Kleo ready for Tech Valley this week. Thank you so much!!

Did you know that building a competitive robotics team takes a lot more than engineering?

FRC Team 533, The PSIcotics, is a Lindenhurst High School team currently competing at the Long Island Regional at Hofstra University this weekend. Behind every competition is months of work — and we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds to be part of it.

Creative and Hands-On Skills
If you love crafting, sewing, drawing, or graphic design, we need you. Our students build banners, pit displays, and team materials that represent them in front of judges, sponsors, and thousands of attendees. Your creative skills make a real difference.

Technical Knowledge
Volunteers with experience in engineering, programming, mathematics, or fabrication are always welcome to work alongside our students and mentors during build season.

General Help
There's always something to do — organizing the lab, assembling giveaways, and keeping things running smoothly. No specialized skills required, just a willingness to show up.

Equipment Donations
We're grateful for tools, shelves, cabinets, and workshop equipment. If you're clearing out your garage, think of us first.

Feed the Team
Once a week during build season, we feed our students. Pizza is the crowd favorite, but any food donation is appreciated.

No matter what your background is, there is a place for you here.

The Lindenhurst Robotics Coalition is a registered 501(c)3 charity recognized by the IRS in New York State. We exist to support one team — Team 533 — because we have Lindy pride and we believe in our students' future. Donations are tax deductible, and we are happy to provide an official tax deduction letter or a volunteer acknowledgment letter to anyone who needs one.

To get involved, contact us at [email protected] or visit Team533.com.
