FYI, early voting begins on Monday and here is the list of locations you can let your voice be heard before if you’re not wanting to deal with the crowds that will be out that day.

To me it doesn’t matter who you vote for, but it does matter that you get out and vote. Exercising the right that so many have died for so that you have a voice in deciding many things in this country (as well as your city, county and state) is one of if not the most important of civic duties that we all can do. I don’t care how disenfranchised you might be, go vote. If you don’t like who’s on the ballot, write someone in. But go vote. There’s also other things on our local ballot that will directly affect you and you deserve to have your voice heard.

I am not going to allow commenting on this post because we all know how that would go, but this information is important to get out.

And no your First Amendment rights are not being infringed on by my not allowing commenting. I’m not a part of the government, the government has no part of my decision making and I’m not stupid enough to allow the political monkeys to sling 💩 back and forth just for clicks.

Every student should have the opportunity to learn alongside their peers in an inclusive and supportive school setting.

Still, too many disabled students are separated from their peers, face a shortage of trained staff, and experience disproportionate discipline at school.

The new California Disability Leadership Alliance’s 2026 State of the State: Disability Policy in California reports where we’re at and where we need to go.

Inclusion is a right. California can and must do better for our children.

At yesterday's Florida Agency for Health Care Administration Task Force Meeting, FABA's Dr. Melissa Olive presented on supervision requirements and best practices in behavior analysis.

Dr. Olive showed task force members what quality oversight looks like in practice. She covered how BCBAs oversee each case, what the BACB requires when supervising RBTs and BCaBAs, the documentation that keeps providers compliant, and the role of parent training in a child's care. She also shared FABA's recommendation to link every RBT to their supervising BCBA in Medicaid billing systems, so it's clear who is accountable for each hour of care.

FABA is at the table for Florida's quality providers and the families who rely on medically necessary BA services.
