ABOUT US
TRUE is created with the vision to empower young girls who have felt powerless. This organization is to create relationships with youth girls in the foster care program. With our program we will provide a 24 hour safe place, counseling, mentoring, and life coaching. Our founder was one of the girls we now serve today. Shelby, TRUE Founder, grew up within the foster system and got emancipated at the age of 16. After dropping out of high school, living on her own, and growing up way to fast and without support she now wants to prevent girls making the same mistakes. Today our founder is happily married with children and a college degree. She wants to share her story with these girls and help encourage them that they are so much more than they believe.
This program is centered and specialized around youth females who have experienced trauma. Our social workers, volunteers, and staff all believe in our mission to empower courageous, confident, and connected girl who will one day be our future leaders.
With our 24 hour safe place girls can come to our location if they need help in urgent situations. That statistics for girls in foster care show over 50% being homeless and involved in Human Trafficking. We here believe it is our mission to end this by creating a safe, healthy, and educational environment to our girls.
