The NAHRA Field Test season has concluded for SBDA. Our group wants to thank all SBDA members and the Board for supporting our efforts for training days, super singles, and field tests. Our NAHRA group is dedicated and committed to training and evaluating their hunting partners.

This year we hosted a NAHRA field test in May, June, July and September. We had many members title their dogs (many breeds) and participate in the NAHRA Regional event.

Thank you handlers, judges, equipment folks, live gunners, marshals, bird techs, lunch & drink prep, bird management, test committees, and more!

The video is an MHR-titled dog running the upland test (steady to shot), which is part of the Senior (Master) level testing along with a trailing test, triple water & land marks and blind retrieves.

A successful Saturday morning for the NAHRA Field Test.

These four dogs earned their titles.

Margaret Wachsman & Morgann - Hunting Retriever
April Smith & Lucy - Started Retriever

More ribbons were awarded to other handlers for great dog work.
A couple more dogs could title tomorrow.

RED GATE Portion of Espanola will be closed July 25 & 26 through NOON each day. The morning’s NAHRA Field Test is using the Red Gate, Hourglass pond, and north end of Lake Gilbert.

The rest of the grounds remain open for members, including the Green Gate and pond and Yellow Gate to the west border. This includes Hoke Hill porta-potty.

Looking for one volunteer each day to operate a winger from 7:00-10:00 am July 25 & 26. Contact Carol Black or comment.
