Media UP Book Sale

The Media Upper Providence Book Sale directly benefits the Media UP Free Library. The sale is held on the third weekend (Sat. to Mon.)

The Book Sale in support of the Media-Upper Providence Free Library is run entirely by volunteers and relies upon donations from the community. of October and April (with allowances made for Easter and Passover) at the library located on the corner of Front and Jackson Streets in Media Borough, PA. The hours are Saturday and Sunday 9:30AM – 4:30PM and Monday 9:30AM – 6PM. The Book Sale accepts (cl

ean and in good condition) hardback and paperback books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, games, puzzles, and sheet music. Donations are accepted at any time EXCEPT during the book sale months of April and October. Please leave donations in the large plastic bins marked “BOOK DONATIONS HERE” to the left of the main entrance of the Media-Upper Providence Free Library. We regret that we cannot accept Reader’s Digest books, National Geographic magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks older than seven years (more than five years for business texts), VHS tapes, and cassettes. Please donate these items to Green Drop. All proceeds from the sales go to the Media-Upper Providence Free Library. In addition to raising money for the library, the sales also support teachers in Title 1 schools in Delaware County and charitable organizations in our community. Book Sale Guidelines

In order to alleviate crowding in the “’S’ellar,” please be mindful of the following guidelines:

No wheeled vehicles permitted in the basement other than:
-Occupied strollers (highly suggested not to come until after noon)
-Wheelchairs
-Book “‘S’ellar”-owned bins and flatbeds

An area outside the library will be designated for parking strollers, wagons, flatbeds, etc. Library-owned flatbeds will be provided as needed. No large bags or boxes will be permitted in the aisles and no books on the floor. There will be a designated area for large boxes as well as an area to store selected books that can no longer be carried in hand. While we will continue to take credit cards ($10.00 minimum), we encourage you to pay in cash to help us avoid having to pay credit card fees. We have a limited number of bags available; please, if possible, bring your own. For more information, email us at [email protected].
