🇺🇸 We want to sincerely thank everyone for your patience with the Veterans Banner Project. The banners are officially going up today!

Since this was our very first year doing the project, we definitely ran into a few unexpected bumps along the way, but we are so excited to finally see everything coming together.

Please take a look when driving down Hwy 13 — it is truly special to see these veterans being honored throughout our community. ❤️🤍💙

Each family who purchased a banner will receive 5 banner books.

Banner books can be picked up at the Medford VFW — just stop in and speak with one of the bartenders.

We would also like to give a special thank you to the City of Medford and Medford Electric for helping us bring this project together. Your support and assistance are greatly appreciated!

Thank you all again for supporting this fundraiser and helping us honor our veterans in such a meaningful way! 🇺🇸

Calling everyone that wishes to honor the memory of our fallen warriors through a shared experience of physical challenge. The Memorial Day Murph is a crossfit challenge honoring the memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, and all those who were killed in service to our country. The challenge is great, but the effort is most important. If you are in great shape, try to do it all, if not, do what you can. If this is your first attempt, make this your baseline and raise the bar for next year. The Memorial Day Murph begins in Medford at 8:30 am on May 25th at Flag Field. You'll be back in time to enjoy the ceremony and join us at the VFW in the afternoon. The cost is free, their cost was everything. https://youtu.be/WWssoNhEkB4?si=U0NzNZAoT0vFR3tD

The members of the American Legion Post 147, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5729, and the VFW Auxiliary Post 5729 will once again be conducting the Medford Memorial Day program at Flag Field on Memorial Day, Monday May 25th.
Your area veterans count it as one of their greatest honors to keep alive the memory of those who gave their lives in service to the nation. The combined color guard will conduct a rifle salute of three volleys and will play Taps, the haunting bugle call that honors those lives.
Each year the names of Taylor County’s one hundred and eleven service members who were killed in action since World War 1. The KIA memorial at Flag Field also honors those men.
The names of 12 new veterans who are receiving paver stones will also be read.
We hope that you will set aside the time to join us on May 25th at 10 am for the Memorial Day ceremony.
