Two condors in far northwestern California appear to be caring for a recently laid egg, a historic moment in an effort to bring the massive raptors back to the Yurok Tribe's historic homeland.

Our next trail workday will be on Sunday, July 20 from 10 am - 12 pm at Mad River Bluffs. Some trail sections are getting overgrown and we will work on cutting back vegetation and pulling ivy. We hope you will come join us.

Work occurs rain or shine. Please dress appropriately and bring your own gloves, hand clippers, and water if you have them. We will provide a light snack, and water, and will also have gloves and hand tools for those that need them.

We are meeting at the Mad River Bluffs parking lot on Ocean Avenue (corner of Hiller and Ocean Avenue).

The group teamed up with McKinleyville Land Trust and Dr. Leung from Cal Poly Humboldt to pull invasive ivy, plant native grasses, and clean up trash. It felt good to give back to the land and learn more about how to take care of it. 🌱🧀

Big thanks to everyone who came out and helped β€” this is what community looks like!
