Consider helping those facing uncertain times in Postville.

Our thoughts are with the Postville community as we follow the news of today's devastating fire at the local meat processing facility. We recognize the uncertainty and challenges this event may bring for employees, families, and the entire community.

The Allamakee County Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque are working closely with local nonprofits, community leaders, and emergency response partners to assess emerging needs and identify meaningful ways to support recovery as the situation unfolds.

If you would like to help, please consider making a gift to the 2026 Postville Fire Community Support Fund. Donations to this fund are used to help address immediate needs and recovery efforts for those impacted by this disaster.

A dream became reality — and McGregor is better for it. The Alexander McGregor Endowment Board of Directors gathered last night at The Station to celebrate the close of the Small-Town Dreams Initiative, a campaign that added more than $450,000 to our endowed fund and directed $25,000 toward community projects. Board members, donors, and friends filled the newest gem in McGregor's downtown with good food, great conversation, and a whole lot of community pride. Stay tuned for a chance to share which projects you'd like to see in the community.

Yesterday was a great day for McGregor.

Thirty-six donors came together on Great Give Day and raised $23,650 for the Alexander McGregor Endowment. We're still a little speechless.

This community has always known how to look out for itself — and for the generations that come after. That's exactly what each of these gifts represents. We're proud to steward this generosity, and we don't take the trust behind it lightly.

To every donor who gave: thank you. You reminded us why this work matters.

Together, we really can do great things.
